Richard attended California State University, Los Angeles, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and his Master of Arts in Community Health. He then pursued further education at Northern Arizona University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) making it on the Dean's List, and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on Family Medicine.
He has gained experience in a range of medical fields, including family medicine, where he provided comprehensive care for patients of all ages; occupational health, focusing on managing and preventing work-related health issues; and cardiology, where he specialized in diagnosing and treating heart conditions.
In addition to his professional experience, he volunteered at the Venice Family Clinic and the American Red Cross as a Health and Safety Instructor. His dedication and contributions were recognized with commendations for his volunteer work, highlighting his commitment to community service.
Richard's decision to pursue a career in the medical field was sparked by an early fascination with medicine during his childhood. This longstanding interest evolved into a deep commitment to helping others, and he found his true calling in improving patients' health and overall well-being. His dedication to enhancing the lives of those he serves has been a central focus throughout his professional journey.
Outside of work, Richard finds great joy in gardening and taking on various backyard projects. He also deeply values spending quality time with his family, cherishing the moments they share together and finding fulfillment in the role he plays in raising his daughters.
